Privacy policy
How Plant Sellers collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Effective August 14, 2026.
Who this covers
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Plant Sellers ("we", "us") collects when you use plantsellersusa.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Plant Sellers is a US-based marketplace connecting buyers and sellers.
By using the site or creating an account, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your email address and password, username, full name, shipping address and phone number, and — if you sell — your shop details and links. We also collect the listings, bids, orders, ratings, and messages or notes you create on the site.
Payment information: card details are entered directly with our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store only your card's brand, its last four digits, and the identifiers Stripe gives us so we can charge your saved card for purchases you make.
Information collected automatically: when you use the site, our hosting infrastructure records technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and request logs. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.
Optional data: if you turn on browser notifications, we store the push subscription needed to send them.
How we use your information
We use your information to run the marketplace: to create and secure your account, publish your listings and run auctions, process payments and seller payouts, arrange and label shipping, send you transactional email and notifications about your account and orders, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the service, with the service providers that run it on our behalf. Specifically: Stripe (payment processing and seller payouts), Supabase (our application database and authentication), Vercel (website hosting and delivery), and Resend (transactional email delivery). Browser push notifications, if you enable them, are delivered through your browser vendor's push service. These providers may process your information only to provide services to us, under their own contractual and security obligations.
We also share information with the other party to a transaction when it's necessary to complete an order — for example, a seller receives the shipping address for an order you place with them.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public. If our business is ever transferred, information may be shared as part of that transaction.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site — primarily to keep you logged in during a session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the service. We may retain certain records after account closure where required for completed orders, tax and accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or other legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.
How we protect it
Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor, so your full card number never touches our systems. Access to your data is restricted by database-level security controls. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
You can access and update most of your information from your account settings, and you can turn off non-essential notifications there. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to delete your account, contact us at support@plantsellersusa.com.
California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@plantsellersusa.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
